Marketplace Morning Report visits exclusive Fisher Island, where host Jeremy Hobson finds that few residents had their money “fall from the sky.” They worked for it.

Located in the heart of Downtown Miami

Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, this restaurant is a great place to take in the views. The brothers who run the restaurant are inspired by their childhood in Northern Italy, and use Florida’s fresh produce to make traditional Italian food. The menu is also affordable, and you can find a spot outside on the patio if it’s sunny.

Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, the Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM) is a modern day art-lover’s dream with a chic ambiance. It is home to international artwork and a sought-after venue for celebrity events.

Whether you want to dance the night away or lounge by the pool, Miami Beach has it all. From glitzy clubs to exclusive beach clubs, there’s something for everyone.

Riverside Wharf is a hospitality-driven entertainment complex

The Riverside Wharf is a hospitality-driven entertainment complex along the Miami River in Downtown Miami, Florida. It will include a new 165-room Dream Hotel from Dream Hotel Group, event halls, restaurants, a rooftop day club and nightclub, as well as a private marina capable of hosting mega yachts. The project is set to open in 2025.

The developer, MV Real Estate Holdings, has a long-term lease with the city of Miami. Voters approved the deal in 2016 and will vote again this August to extend it by 50 years.

The design reinterprets the natural pathways and movement of the Miami River in a vertical composition of flowing concrete forms. Corten steel facades and other curated materials complement the site’s historic elements. Designed by Jon Cardello of Cube3 architects and landscaped by Savino Miller Design Studio, Riverside Wharf will elevate the Miami River district.

165-room hotel

165 rooms and suites feature custom designed interiors that highlight midcentury modernist elements with contemporary artwork and amenities. Rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows and flexible space for work, play or relaxation.

Guests enjoy a range of in-room conveniences, including Lather bath products and an iron and ironing board. They can also use the hotel’s laundry service to keep their travel outfits clean and fresh.

Hotel 165 offers great value accommodation in the heart of Little India, just a short walk from City Square Mall and right behind Mustafa Centre. The hotel is also a convenient train ride from famous iconic tourist landmarks and attractions such as Orchard, Bugis and Sentosa. The hotel is a member of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a group of original hotels that offer a tailored experience.

30,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck and nightclub

Located just a block from the beach, this 107-room party-focused upscale hotel has a sleek Art Deco exterior and a moody interior that is part ’70s nightclub, part South Beach chic. Rooms feature glitzy accents like silver beaded chandeliers and geometric cutout headboards, while suites offer leather or velour seating. The hotel also has a trendy Mexican restaurant and a rooftop infinity pool.

The hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge is the perfect spot to relax with a cocktail in hand. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the view is spectacular. The best time to enjoy the deck is during sunset Saturdays. To enter, you must be over 21 and present a valid ID upon arrival. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, so come early to avoid the crowd.

Private marina

A private marina is a privately-owned facility for the docking and servicing of private boats. It offers a range of services and amenities to boat owners on an annual, seasonal or per-day basis. These services may include a full service repair and maintenance shop, fuel and pump-out, electrical hookups and storage facilities. Other amenities may include swimming platforms, a boat clubhouse, and residential items such as laundry facilities.

For developers of luxury condominiums, private marinas are becoming an increasingly popular amenity. While stunning ocean views and a waterfront location are still top priorities, many buyers now demand that their condo building have its own private marina. This allows them to step out their back door, board their boat and cruise about 16 nautical miles to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean.
